This article presents results of researches of genesis and physical and chemical properties of humic acids of peat stratigraphic rigging of the Ob-Irtysh interfluve, selected in the area of The Mukhrino Field Station of the UNESCO chair of Yugra State University. The coordinates of the selection: 60.89535 N?68.639033 E. Ash content of peat does not exceed 12%. The effect of botanical composition of the original plants of the peat-forming plants of peat type on the construction of the macromolecules of humic acids extracted from these peats has been found. The data of elemental analysis and UV spectroscopy (the visible part of the spectrum) has been used to assess the structure. The ratio of elements and optical densities of humic acids clearly describes the conditions of their formation and quantitative characteristics. The obtained results have been combined with the type of peat to assess the effect of botanical composition of the original peat on the structure of humic acids. Information on the elemental composition allowed us to obtain information about the principles of structure of macromolecules of humic acids. Atomic ratio H/C of humic acids decreases in the following sequence: sapropels, hypnaceae herbal sapropels, Scheuchzeria and Scheuchzeria-sphagnum peat, sphagnum depression peat and sphagnum complex peat, sphagnum fuscum peat. Monotonically decreasing dependence of the optical density of the solutions is observed in the visible region of the electronic absorption spectra with increasing wavelength, giving an idea about the system of conjugation of the macromolecule. It is revealed that the optical density at a wavelength of 465 nm. changes in the same way as by the results of the relations H/C, but in increasing sequence. Accordingly, the most developed periphery, is observed in the humic acids of sapropels and the most developed of the aromatic component of the humic acids of sphagnum fuscum peat. An intermediate value are humic acid sphagnum hollow and sphagnum peat complex. Atomic ratio H/C falls in the transition from sapropel to the peat stratigraphic rigging in humic acids and the extinction coefficients grow, which indicates a more developed aromatic part of humic acids of peat.
