Rapeseed crop is an economical competitive crop which could have a good yield and a good profit to farmers. Due to its biological particularities the rapeseed crop is at the same time the highest risky crop in Europe, especially due to lower percent of emerged plants after sowing or due to lower hardiness during winter. To increase rapeseed resistance to drought and pests attack, during germination, there is a huge need to develop and use a new products based on Gibberellic Acids (GA3) and amino acids for seed treatments. Glutamic acid and proline are the most important amino acids that are accumulated in various tissues of the plant, particularly in the leaves because the effect of water stress. Gibberellic Acid is a plant hormone with activity in seedling elongation. It is necessary in low quantity and concentration to accelerate plant growth.
In this context, this paper presents the effect of using a seed treatment product based on various concentrations of amino acids (glutamic acid, proline) on the rapeseed crops and determination of the Gibberellic Acid content from the seed of rapeseeds, which have been studied using HPLC method. Compared to untreated seeds, there is an increase of concentration of GA3 in the tissues of seeds treated with different concentration of amino acids.
