Land use of the closed joint stock company "Zarya" is located in an extremely arid zone, which affects the specialization of the economy and the peculiarities of the use of agricultural land. The territory of CJSC "Zarya" is located within the Terek-Kuma artesian basin. Land use of the grape farm is located in the zone of distribution of chestnut soils. Depending on the qualitative composition of the soil are divided into five soil-reclamation groups. In the course of monitoring of agricultural land economy identified the main negative processes that affect the quality of land. These include water erosion, deflation and salinization. According to the results of the survey, nine sites of degraded land with a total area of 110.3 hectares were identified in the economy. Four sites are arable land. The area of degraded vineyards is 33.7 hectares, of which 27.8 hectares have II degree of degradation and it is recommended to use them without changing the purpose of the site, but with the introduction of soil conservation measures. The main reason for the deterioration of the quality of pastures is the salinization of land, with an area of 19.4 hectares to be transferred to unused land due to the formation of saline. Pasture area of 28.7 hectares can be used without changing the purpose, but with the surface improvement.
