The article deals with the impact of public recreation on forest communities near sacred sites in the suburban area of the city. The question is actual and is caused by an assessment of influence of forest types of recreation on components of forest biogeocenosis. It is revealed that for this purpose it is necessary to achieve strict observance of the basic ecological and forestry requirements at the organization of forest territories by types of the recreational occupations guaranteeing reliable preservation and rational use of forest natural complexes. The survey of sacred spring forests near the ski resorts allowed to estimate the indices of forest plantations by components of phytocenosis represented by trees, shrubs and herbaceous vegetation. It is concluded that the plantings, where trampling is estimated by the third stage of digression, have indicators below the second and first identified stages. Forest communities have the greatest value at the first stage of soil and vegetation cover digression. In General, it is determined that the trampling of the territory by the people is defined as low even in the immediate vicinity of historically preserved Holy sources. Fortunately, the predominant coniferous plantations are located in most cases in hard-to-reach places. Therefore, the trees are not exposed to mechanical stress, preserved woody shrub vegetation and herbaceous vegetation is in the best condition. However, the anthropogenic impact on the components of the forest community in the suburban area of the city should be controlled by the organization of permanent recreational monitoring.
