Ionosphere is one of the most important sources of the errors in positioning of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), navigation and time. The standard methodology for estimating the state of the ionosphere (total electron content - TEC) that uses terrestrial or space receivers, which can effectively process the signals from the GNSS-satellites using the synchronous observations by the carrier phase and group delay, does not depend on pseudo-distances, a priori values or other external information. The only requirements are that the function of the display of inclined TEC values is available and GNSS data come from the terrestrial stations.
To process multicast GNSS data to determine TEC, Centers of Analysis of the International GNSS Service (IGS) regularly provide ephemeris and differential signal delays in a tract of satellites and receivers (DCB). By the values of the parameter TEC is obtained permanently each 15 seconds from the part of the network of the reference stations ZAKPOS (Western region of Ukraine) using a special atmospheric add-on supported by Trimble Pivot Platform. Analysis was conducted on the example of variations of TEC values obtained from the daily file. For modelling the regional field of the Ionospheric parameter vertical TEC (VTEC) in this article, we used Legendre?s functions on the limited 2.5??3.5? spherical trapeze. Spherical Legendre?s functions of an integer degree and real order are widely used for modelling global and regional gravitational and magnetic fields. Methodology based on the limited spherical trapeze is used for the first time in the simulation of the total electronic content. For the construction of such model, a filtration of the input information was carried out and it was distributed at 6 periods during the day. To assess the accuracy of the model, the standard deviation of the measured and modelled values of the TEC parameter was calculated. The results show that the obtained coefficients of the spatial-temporal model completely restore the spatial-temporal state of the TEC parameter for the studied day. |
