Mining is one of the most devastating forms of meeting human needs. As it is clear from the aerial photographs, the landscape of the north-western part of the Czech Republic is highly affected by the activity of the mining industry, namely lignite quarries. During the activities at these quarries, the landscape is transformed into a form that resembles the surface of the moon. For this reason, the law imposes an obligation on mining companies to reclaim the landscape after their activity to guarantee the higher cultural value of the territory concerned. This process was also carried out on the former lignite quarry ?Le??ky?, whose activity was completed in 1999. The anthropogenic lake, which was named ?Most Lake? after the territory where it was situated, was formed by the reclamation of the former ?Le??ky? Quarry. There have been several problems with the reclamation of this site resulting in the current landslide. This article solves the problems of geodetic works in slope testing by light dynamic penetration supplemented by geophysical resistance measurement. The article deals with the method of geodetic measurement processing geodetic and geophysical results of measurements and creating cross sections and digital model for subsequent geotechnical analysis and slope stability assessment.
