The paper presents the results of research on the radiation balance of coniferous forest ecosystems in the mountain Crimea. Based on open reanalysis databases and the geoinformational modeling results, the elements values of the radiation balance of coniferous forest ecosystems located in different landscape zones and levels are calculated. It is found that for the period from 1983 to 2013 the values of the radiation balance of the mountain Crimea coniferous forest ecosystems vary from 1641.8 to 1836.4 MJ/m2?year. Moreover, the increase in the radiation balance values occurs from north to south, which corresponds to the direction from the mountains to the seacoast. Such radiation balance values increase is determined by the growth of total solar radiation values against the background of values decrease of effective radiation. This effect is explained by different amplitudes of the thermal radiation flux values growth of the underlying surface directed towards the atmosphere and the atmosphere counter-radiation. By exceeding the thermal radiation amplitude of the underlying surface directed towards the atmosphere, the atmosphere counter-radiation reduces the values of the effective radiation towards the coast. This phenomenon is explained by the role of increased cloud cover on the southern coast of Crimea, formed by the barrier effect of the Main Ridge of Crimean Mountains. This spatial distribution forms a high vulnerability of mid-mountain pine forest ecosystems to regional climate change manifestations. Two periods (1983-1997 and 1998-2013) corresponding to the change of circulation periods in the Northern Hemisphere are identified based on the analysis of interannual dynamics of the radiation balance values of coniferous forest ecosystems. The growth of radiation balance values in the second period is revealed, which may adversely affect the coniferous ecosystems functioning and lead to changes in the structure of the mountain Crimea ecosystems.
