Geomonitoring of a mining infrastructure has a crucial impact on company?s proper functioning and safety. For many years one of the most popular monitoring methods in Poland was to measure the tangent directions at multiple levels of a slim construction such us headframe or chimney (bisector intersection). Modern methods contain also GNSS measurements. However, the best method to generate a true shape is TLS measurement and 3D model preparation. Analysing such model, it is possible to determine not only the maximal slope, but also torsion and other deformations. Despite the precise measurements, obtained results might be exaggerated or undervalued. The reason is environmental and mining influence, that cause the headframe temporary or permanent deformation. The main goal of the research was to analyse a real headframe shape, (located in south Poland and scanned in 2018) in order to determine both values and directions of displacements. Basing on an obtained data a real shape 3D model of a headframe was created. As a compartment, a theoretical shape model, based on a project, was prepared. Both models were placed in same position and a mesh to mesh distance difference was calculated. Obtained headframe displacements were analysed. Their environmental, mining and construction origins were proposed. The essential assumptions for Finite Element Method analysis were prepared, in order to create a proper construction model. Further FEM analysis is being prepared and researched.
