Cannabis consumption in Romania has increased significantly recently. Due to the fact that consumption is forbidden, consumers try to grow the plant themselves, in makeshift greenhouses.
Cannabis is the most consumed drug in Romania, both in the general population and in the school population. Cannabis also remains the most widely seized drug nationally. Police discover at least once a month, illegal productions in apartments and confiscate hundreds of kilograms of cannabis. Only about a third of 16-year-old adolescents in Romania consider experimental (once / twice) and occasional (rarely) cannabis use to be at high risk. The younger the age of consumption, the greater the degree of neurocerebral damage. The way the brain is affected by cannabis use when you are a child can have long-term effects on everything that means attention, cognitive impairment, memory, concentration. Unfortunately, adolescents who use these substances are not aware of these risks. This article aims to assess the risks of cannabis use and to check which social classes are most exposed to consumption. |
