The article deals with the problems of designing multi-channel high-frequency signal generators for the transceivers of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It is proposed to use high-speed digital-to-analog converters to increase the output frequency and improve the noise characteristics of UAV transceivers. The possibility of using special operating modes used in modern high-speed direct-to-analog converters (DACs) for digital generation of broadband signals is shown. Mathematical models of noise characteristics at the main frequency are obtained, on the basis of which a model of the SPM of phase noise of the direct digital synthesizer (DDS) on the images of the fundamental frequency of the synthesizer is developed. The advantages of using a signal generator on high-speed DACs are proved, which are manifested in the form of an increase in the output frequency without increasing the number of cascades of output frequency multipliers and, as a result, reducing phase noise. The prospects for further use of the developed signal generators to improve the characteristics of flying ad-hoc networks based on UAVs are determined.
