The authors present the results of the research on the variability of selected physicochemical properties and discharge of medicinal waters in Szczawno-Zdroj. The intake discharge and selected physicochemical parameters (water temperature, HCO3-, CO2 and Rn content) were taken into account. These parameters and intakes discharge are measured regularly. Based on the results of the exploitation observations (1967-2017) it was also shown that the content of the gas in the Mlynarz and Mieszko 14 intakes varied considerably depending on the discharge. The correlation occurs with less intensity in Marta and Dabrowka intakes. For all analyzed springs a seasonal variability in discharge is associated with the inflow of poorly mineralized waters which mix with the CO2-rich waters. It is confirmed by inverse correlation between the discharge of intakes and HCO3-ion content in most Szczawno-Zdroj intakes. Variation in the chemical composition may be related to changes in the recharge conditions and outflow of therapeutic waters. A decrease in the TDS of the studied waters was observed in 10-year cycles. In order to clarify the relation between qualitative and quantitative parameters, a correlation analysis was carried out.
