The purpose of this work was to determine the impact of anthropogenic activities, which consisted in the expansion of the national road 51 to change the water relations in the Upper Pas??ka catchment. Hydrological measurements were carried out on the Pas??ka River near the Gry?liny village. Studies have shown that the expansion of road 51 has changed the way the river basin has been developed. The area of agricultural and forested areas decreased in favor of paved and built-up areas, which resulted in an increase in the outflow from the catchment and an increase in phosphorus load entering the river. The investment did not affect changes in the water flow in the river. As a result of the ongoing works, almost 65% of the initial area of shelter and shrubberies was removed, which increased the outflow from the basin, and caused more than twofold increase in the area of built-up areas and paved areas in the basin. In the hydrological year 2016/2017 there were large fluctuations in water flow, but they were the result of heavy rainfall. Over the 10 hydrological years, no significant changes in the flow rates were found, only in 2013/2014 it was about 50% lower compared to the remaining years due to hydrological drought.
