In the case of the close location of various engineering structures to the place of drilling and blasting operations for ensuring the preservation of these structures there is a necessity of the accurate forecast of the level of possible seismic effects. The amplitude of seismic vibrations is influenced by many factors that are not considered in the regulatory method of determining seismically safe distances. Therefore, the only reliable approach to an accurate prediction is the direct instrumental measurements. To improve the quality of the forecast of possible seismic effects of blasting there is a necessity of the correct definition of the decay rate of wave amplitude with distance, and examination of the soil conditions in the study area. It is proposed a comprehensive method to conduct a single relatively short measurement time. The use of this technique allows to increase the accuracy of prediction of the seismic vibration amplitude and to analyze the patterns of distribution of the level of seismic impacts on the study area. The features and benefits of seismic monitoring are shown in the framework of examination of this topic.
