The paper presents the results of research undertaken in 2023, in the perimeter of the Stationary for the Study of Soil Erosion located on the left side of the Slanic Hydrographic Basin in Buzau county, with a slope of 15-20 %.
Within the station are located 12 plots for the control of soil surface erosion cultivated differently. The amount of soil washed away by torrential rains during the growing season was different depending on the degree of soil cover given by agricultural crops [11] . From the plot cultivated conventionally with winter wheat it was observed that 3.8 t/ha of soil is washed, and on the soil cultivated with wheat sown in strips the amount of washed soil is 0 t/ha, compared to the uncultivated soil where the amount of soil washed is 41.9 t/ha. In conclusion, the role of agricultural crops and anti-erosion techniques, such as strip sowing is very important, thus the strip-sown wheat protected the soil better against erosion compared to conventional wheat, where the amount of washed soil increases by 9%. |
