This paper outlines the methodology of a technical due diligence preparation for the reconsolidation process of an abandoned building. The structure highlighted in this paper is an existing but incomplete building that has been abandoned for more than over a decade. For this study a technical due diligence was performed to assess the current condition of the asset presented on the next chapters of this paper. A technical due diligence represent the research and analysis discovery process which helps to collect essential information about the physical and technical condition of one asset. Careful examination and analysis of technical documentation, along with on-site inspections, were crucial for providing a well-informed report. The results of the technical evaluation have required the presentation of essential intrusive tests. The final report provide a complete understanding of the current condition of the building, highlighting the risks associated with the completion of the construction. All of the findings can be interpreted and used as part of a project feasibility study. The new technical project, referring to reconsolidation and completion of the construction works, propose green solutions like integrating friendly practices and technologies to reduce carbon footprint, enhance energy efficiency, and promote sustainability.
The objective of this study is to identify the risks and outline the necessary work program to ensure the successful completion of the construction project.
