Terrestrial and submarine mud volcanoes of the Taman Peninsula are confined to the continuation of the Temryuk-Kerch anticline zone. Many of them, especially submarine volcanoes, are characterized by periods of active spontaneous activity. Mud volcanoes are of interest as not only objects that can have a negative impact on the natural environment, but also as sources bringing benefits in the form of erupted mud masses that are used to treat people. Up to this point, the question of the depth and temperature of the formation of water and hydrocarbon fluids and gray-blue fluid therapeutic mud remains debatable. The retrospective analysis of published and original studies of the isotope composition of hydrogen and oxygen of groundwater, oil, methane and sulfide sulfur (pyrite), as well as the age of rock fragments and mineral composition of mud mass is performed. It is established that the "roots" of the both fluids and clay mass could be found at different depths and have a close deposition. Using the regional isotope geological thermometer developed by the author, the depth and temperature of finding the sources of aqueous solutions was determined. It turned out that these parameters are not constant even for the same mud volcano.
