The main aim of this study was to determine pollution degree of heavy metals Cu, Ni, Pb, and Cd in sediments and mussel shells of coastal province of Bushehr. For this purpose, sediment samples and shellfish were collected in December 2016 from five different stations, including Leylateyn estuary, Schiff Island, Genaveh inlet, Rig and Imam Hassan port and. After drying samples, concentrated nitric and thick perchloric acid were used for dissolution. The presence and concentration of heavy metals were measured by using atomic absorption method. The results showed that Cu, Ni, Pb and Cd concentrations deposited in mentioned stations are in order range of 5.6-14.75, 19.67-58.72, 7.96-13.92, and 0.68-0.96?g/gr. The amount of these metals present in soft tissues ranged from 5.36-27.84, 0.24-2.72, 5.64-10.04, and 0.32-1.80?g/gr and in Oyster shell 10.75-21.25, 1.36-3.52, 4.28-8.08, and 0.68-0.96?g/gr. In general, the concentration of all metals in this study were less than FAO and the USEPA standards.
