The aim of the research and analyses was to present the design process of industrial facilities, that takes into account their impact on the existing environment in order to limit the impact of the designed facility on the landscape.
Industrial architecture work is usually carried out without taking the surrounding landscape into consideration. The proper analyses of the land for investment and its surroundings allows to develop a design strategy. Appropriate arrangement of isolating greenery allows to create natural barriers that separate areas designed for different purposes. Simulations of the plant growth phases in connection with the 3D model of the whole building complex present the virtual vision for design assumption.
Analyzing and shaping the surroundings of an industrial plant by using insulating greenery is a very good moment to introduce innovative FBG security systems. Nowadays this is particularly important. The concept proposed in the article involves the use of special geogrids equipped with fiber Bragg gratings During designing the insulating greenery, one can consider introducing the geogrids with FBG optical fibers around the industrial plant, which will serve as the plant?s ?intelligent nervous system?. The system will inform about every case of entering the plant premises, measure the weight of the person entering the zone and automatically take a photograph thereof.
Natural landscapes are of priceless value in many regions. Today?s civilization develops very rapidly, consequently swallowing up the natural environment areas. The aim of the logistic strategy of analyzing and shaping the landscape architecture is to neutralize the effects of this dynamic progress. Skillful designs of the land development for industrial plants that include isolating greenery enable the sustainable growth of enterprises. The influence of the industrial architecture is limited to the minimum thanks to the natural barriers - a curtain of properly selected trees and shrubs.
