Large-scale changes can be observed in the Russian society in the XXI century. They laid the foundation to the Russian Federation integration into the global political, economic and cultural space, to the demarcation of a great number of borders as well as identified the indispensable necessity to uphold national interests of the state on a permanent basis. The processes of globalization, the development of international economic relations between the countries of the world community increased the need for competitive specialists who possess the high level of knowledge in management (in particular HR management) and the ability to apply these skills in practice in order to solve professionally significant problems in business situations, the ability to work with information and in team. The graduates of ?Human resource management? 38.03.03 direction acquire the opportunity to realize themselves personally and professionally. The Bachelor?s program graduate should be ready to solve the many professional tasks, among them: organizational, managerial activities; organization and control of training, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel; human resource planning and development; organization of professional orientation and labor adaptation of young professionals, activities for their consolidation and rational use; the development of personnel professional development strategy; organization of work on assessment and management of business career; the formation of the personnel certification reserve; motivation and stimulation of personnel, including remuneration; forecasting and determining staff requirements; analysis of personnel potential and intellectual capital; study of professional, business and personal qualities of employees for the purpose of their rational use; analysis of the organization's personnel management system and processes; participation in the development and implementation of social development plans of the organization; business ethics, conflict and stress management; prevention of personal professional deformation and professional burnout. The fulfillment of these duties is not possible if modern HR managers do not speak a foreign language at a level that can ensure high performance of their professional activities in a multipolar and multicultural world. The relevance of professionally-oriented teaching of a foreign language is substantiated by the fact that since 1998 Russia has been implementing the ?Presidential program for training management personnel? for national economy organizations for improving the skills of managers. Participants and graduates of the Program have the opportunity to participate in various events, meetings, seminars aimed at developing managerial competencies, assist in the development of entrepreneurship, expanding interregional and international relations, etc.
The aim of the article is to show the experience and results of the Foreign Language Department at the Krasnoyarsk state agrarian university in teaching the discipline ?English for professional purposes? for future HR managers in the training direction 38.03.03. The results show that the graduate becomes such a specialist who is fluent in his profession and key competencies, who is capable to effectively work in the specialty at the level of world standards, who is ready for continuous professional growth, social and professional mobility and has skills for intercultural professional communication.
The following methods and approaches constituted the methodological base for the research: system-activity approach, student-centered approach, axiological approach, induction, deduction, direct and indirect observation, questioning, analysis, synthesis, and modeling.
