The article presents limnological ecosystems environmental status assessment outcomes on the example of the investigated lakes of Ukraine, through the development and implementation of current information technologies. Approaches to the theoretical substantiation and experimental study of establishing the real spatial resolution of the Earth Remote Sensing (ERS) methods in the visible optical spectrum for limnological systems are proposed. The research is based on the use of information potential and the introduction of geographical information technology in combination with full-scale research. The practical significance is to use the characteristics of the lake status and their resource potential as an information base for the system of territorial hydro-ecological monitoring.
The obtained characteristics of the status of the studied reservoirs and their resource potential were used as an information base for the development of management decisions and the creation of a system of constructive operational measures of protection and their rational use. The study allowed for the comprehensive use of space monitoring data to adequately assess the state of limnological sites. The main factors of anthropogenic load on a number of limnological ecosystems have been determined, the tendency for intensification of eutrophication processes in the waters has been established. Technologies for monitoring the dynamics of the water regime of lakes have been improved by constructing bathymetric maps based on the results of hydroacoustic measurements and space images decoding.
The results obtained from the study have environmental, economic and social effectiveness. These studies are necessary for solving economic problems of nature management, accounting, planning, forecasting, regulation, assessment of the state of aquatic ecosystems and their extrapolation in space and time.
