Nowadays, in the Arkhangelsk region of the Russian Federation, the timber industry is under active development. A quantity of raw materials necessary for the increasing production capacities of timber processing enterprises show an annual increase. Roundwood removes from forest to limber mill by highway, train, water transport, barges and float boat (which, by the way, is one of the main types of transport). The timber processing enterprises on the river channel are equipped with pile piers which help floating timber being attached. In winter and spring, due to fluctuations of the water level and ice, piers remove and annually they need to be drived into the riverbed using a floating pile driver. For longer life, a pile pier was proposed to equip with a special anchor device that will help to raise its holding power and withstand the increasing pressure in winter and spring. The article presents a study methodology of increasing the holding power of a pile pier, pursues the topic of experimental facility used for testing, gives processing of the pilot studies and random distribution of the pier model holding power. Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilka tests, descriptive statistics, linear probability chart and Box Plot diagram helped to proof the hypothesis about random distribution. Also, the article contains the experimental results, mathematical dependence in the form of multiple regression equation, proofs of the obtained mathematical models? objectivity and conclusions that would help to assess the impact of these signals on the holding power of the pile pier.
