Climate conditions dynamics of the Mologa-Sheksna Lowland different parts from the Late-Glacial up to the late Holocene is discussed in the article. Results are summarized from the comprehensive study of the bottom sediment sequences from three mire lakes of Vologda region. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and diffraction (XRD), organic elements (C, N, S) content evaluation, granulometric analysis, stable isotope 13C bulk content, 13C-NMR spectroscopy and accelerated mass-spectrometry (14C AMS) were conducted during 2018-2020. Calendar age of the large proglacial lake drainage (10.4-11.4 cal kyr. in different locations) and major palaeoclimatic shifts were determined for the northern part of the Lowland. Asynchronous proglacial lake water drop caused the onset of periglacial climate with intensive weathering, which had been the dominant exogenic factor until the warm Holocene conditions, when woods spread over the Lowland along with soil formation processes, halting the erosion rate. New data of the lake deposits age and geochemistry will become a pioneer contribution to the knowledge about the evolution of nature systems and climate of the Mologa-Sheksna Lowland during the Late-Glacial and Holocene.
