Innovative and modern directions, especially BIM and its subsequent extension to CIM, can be considered to be the main topics of construction development. The work connects individual innovative areas of a comprehensive view of the entire life cycle of buildings in connection with and with regard to the entire built-up area and offers new knowledge for urban management, facility management and other fields of construction. The second part uses a 3D model of the city to simulate the spread of pollution in the developed area based on relevant data on weather conditions, long-term measured local indicators of pollution, terrain and relief of the built-up area. It seeks to find connections between these sub-parts for possible future predictions of risk situations, planning and development. It then aims to present these results clearly and comprehensively to the professional and lay public. In this paper, I would like to focus primarily on air quality and the 3D modeling of cities within the BIM/CIM concept. Sub-methods and simulations should provide output acceptable to the general public. Air quality, as will be apparent from the text below, can be clearly defined and determined based on a calculation in a way that makes it comprehensible even to the lay public. The essential components of this paper are the 3D model of the city and simulations of the spread of air pollution and the actual results concerning air quality. This is currently a very current topic not only for the health of the population.
