The construction industry is among one of the oldest engineering sectors, whose foundations date back to far into the past. The architecture, engineering and construction were able to satisfy the needs of the people in the long run, which ranked it among the most important sectors that affected people's lives at all times. The industry was constantly evolving, which was reflected in many historical works. These buildings were for the time in which they were built very progressively. The efforts of people, technological development, development and research of materials have always pushed the possibilities of construction forward. It is no different today. At present, information technology is the implementation of selected information technologies using their properties to increase the efficiency of current technological processes is proving to be a key factor that is crucial for increasing the efficiency of design and construction. Sustainable building design represents progress not only in the planning of sustainable materials but also in the use of advanced digital technologies that support sustainable design. The use of intelligent digital technologies and 3D library elements to design sustainable buildings should be a solution to increase the degree of sustainability in AEC. This paper addresses the issue of digital technologies and the use of 3D elements libraries for sustainable formwork design. The research aimed to map the possibilities of using intelligent digital technologies and 3D elements libraries for a sustainable formwork design.
