OVERVIEW
-------------------------------------- For the 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022 (Surveying Geology and Mining Ecology Management), for a period of 1 year and a half, were submitted more than 560 papers. After a double-blind peer review process, based on the COPE standards, only 371 of them were accepted for publication in SGEM volume 22. The accepted scientific papers, submitted by authors from 18 countries worldwide, are grouped by sections and published in 6 different issues. In this specific Issue 1.1 are published 79 academic papers on 680 pages. These papers represent research works and projects from 16 countries and 65 Universities/ Institutions. RESUME - ISSUE 1.1 (Vol 22) -------------------------------------- This conference proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022, that was held in the period of 4 – 10 July, 2022, Albena, Bulgaria. With 680 pages in total, after a double-blind peer review process, based on the COPE standards, there are 79 academic research papers, in the field of Science and Technologies in Geology, Exploration and Mining, published in Issue 1.1. of the SGEM2022 Conference Proceedings - Volume 22. The articles are categorized into 6 Sections as follows: Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, Exploration and Mining, Mineral Processing, Applied and Environmental Geophysics, Oil and Gas Exploration. The topics discussed include: hydrocarbon trap types on the black sea offshore Romania; analysis of snowmelt as a triggering factor for shallow landslide; boundary knot method solution of groundwater flow in unconfined aquifer; numerical analysis for cavity effect on anchor plate capacity; bioactivation of leaching solution for uranium in-situ recovery; determination of the strength of adhesion between the structural components of conveyor belts; features of optimizing the calendar schedule of open-pit mining by steeply inclined layers; growth of a hydraulic fracture in the sidetracked borehole; recovery of associated metals during in situ leaching of uranium; conceptual design of a permanent pillar in the Bílina mine; safety in the mining industry; variation of air status parameters in presence of methane, in the ventilation ducts installations; wollastonite work index determination; potentiometrical screening of landfill mined fine fraction of waste; seismological analysis of the swarm type seismicity in the region of Velingrad, Bulgaria; block plant for purification of stripping gas of mercaptan-containing oil; fluid-structure interaction in gaseous explosion simulations; small component ignition tests – uncertainty estimation; the evolution of polish dependency in the field of energy raw materials sector. These papers represent research works and projects from 16 countries as follows: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Turkey, UK and Ukraine. --------------------- ISSN: 1314-2704 ISBN: 978-619-7603-38-5 DOI ISSUE: 10.5593/sgem2022/1.1 |
