OVERVIEW
-------------------------------------- For the 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022 (Surveying Geology and Mining Ecology Management), for a period of 1 year and a half, were submitted more than 560 papers. After a double-blind peer review process, based on the COPE standards, only 371 of them were accepted for publication in SGEM volume 22. The accepted scientific papers, submitted by authors from 18 countries worldwide, are grouped by sections and published in 6 different issues. In this specific Issue 3.1 are published 48 academic papers on 400 pages. These papers represent research works and projects from 13 countries and 34 Universities/ Institutions. RESUME – ISSUE 3.1 (Vol 22) -------------------------------------- This conference proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022, that was held in the period of 4 – 10 July, 2022, Albena, Bulgaria. With 400 pages in total, after a double-blind peer review process, based on the COPE standards, there are 48 academic research papers, in the field of Water Resources. Forest, Marine And Ocean Ecosystems, published in Issue 3.1 of the SGEM2022 Conference Proceedings - Volume 22. The articles are categorized into 4 Sections as follows: Hydrology and Water Resources, Soils, Forest Ecosystems, Marine and Ocean Ecosystems. The topics discussed include: analysis of different reference evapotranspiration methods in south-eastern Serbia; analysis of the composition and concentration of pollutants in rainwater runoff; definition of reason of village Anaklia flooding; flash flood forecasting using flash flood guidance system products; positive and negative aspects of water reservoirs; post-wildfire terrain evolution in an Alpine area; the boulder chute design with a stilling basin and intake facility verified by a hydraulic model; effect of biochar application on CO2 emission in relationship with soil physical properties; geospatial analysis of geological factors of chernozem degradation in the southern part of Ukraine; impact of soil treatment with zeolitic volcanic tuff; the application of the laser diffraction to determine soil texture and influence on soil texture classification; indicators and sub-indicators characterizing competitiveness of forestry companies; novel applications of GIS and artificial intelligence in forest restoration; maritime agenda as an anchor of research collaboration in the Baltic Sea basin.
