OVERVIEW

For the 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022 (Surveying Geology and Mining Ecology Management), for a period of 1 year and a half, were submitted more than 560 papers. After a double-blind peer review process, based on the COPE standards, only 371 of them were accepted for publication in SGEM volume 22. The accepted scientific papers, submitted by authors from 18 countries worldwide, are grouped by sections and published in 6 different issues.
In this specific Issue 5.1 are published 100 academic papers on 808 pages. These papers represent research works and projects from 17 countries and 72 Universities/ Institutions.

RESUME – ISSUE 5.1 (Vol 22)

This conference proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022, that was held in the period of 4 – 10 July, 2022 in Albena, Bulgaria.
With 808 pages in total, after a double-blind peer review process, based on the COPE standards, there are 100 academic research papers, in the field of Ecology, Economics, Education and Legislation, published in Issue 5.1. of the SGEM2022 Conference Proceedings - Volume 22.
The articles are categorized in 4 Sections as follows: Ecology and Environmental Protection, Environmental Economics, Education and Accreditation, Environmental Legislation, Multilateral Relations and Funding Opportunities.
The topics discussed include: analyse of explosion characteristics of wood dust clouds in dependence of the particle size distribution; application of stabilizing agents in contaminated soils of old mining areas; ecological state assessment of the Danube delta; using RIAM and GIS for environmental impact assessment; flower meadows in an urban environment; geoparks as a basis for the integrated conservation of ecosystems, cultural heritage, and development of ecotourism; impact of out-of-furnace cast iron processing on the environment; macromycetes and plants from areas affected by antimony mining – bioconcentration factors; multiple biomonitoring tests for environmental assessments; research on the evaluation of the level of detonability of chemical fertilizers based on ammonium nitrate regarding certification for safe use in agriculture; screening of the ability of rhizosphere bacteria to produce biosurfactants; study on the correlation between infrastructure projects and wildlife roadkill in Romania; the impact of climate change on the dynamics of dendrometric changes in 2019-2021; the role of physical features of the site in the design of military-resistant building; analysis of potential application of blockchain technology in renewable energy sector; economic and environmental goals of the circular economy of the region; establishment of fair value and analysis of a waste deposit concession; predictable and stable tax policy for the bioeconomy sector; ways to capitalize on biodiversity through tourism; civil engineering students’ misconceptions on principles of geology; intergeneration digital competence sharing; environmental strategy and policy of municipal society; the model for environmental noise governance in Latvia.
These papers represent research works and projects 17 countries as follows: Armenia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Jordan, Kosovo, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine, United States.
