The Shu-Ile tectonic zone is located along the Jalaiyr-Naiman deep fault (geosuture). It stretches in a northwestern direction, passing in the northern part of the territory into a submeridional direction. It stretches in a narrow strip of about 600 km and is a section of the second ring structure of Kazakhstan. Deposits and occurrences of iron, chromium and non-ferrous metals, gold and rare metals are associated with this geosuture zone. In general, the tectonic structure of the area is quite complex due to the development of long-lived deep faults with local subduction and collision phenomena. In the studied area, minerals are mainly associated with intrusive rocks confined to the zone of deep faults. Magmatism is represented by both plutonic and subvolcanic intrusions of different age, size, and composition. Faults and crushing zones are an indispensable part of the overall process of geological development. Judging by the overlap of the Ordovician and Silurian tectonic structures with the Devonian ones, the phase of the main folding of the Shu-Ile belt took place at the border of the Silurian and Devonian, after which the stage of orogenic development began. At the same time, in the Jalaiyr zone, the Devonian troughs to a certain extent inherit the Ordovician ones, but the abrupt change in the regime of marine sedimentation to subaerial volcanic one indicates the onset of a new stage of geological development.
