For prospecting works on the Karsakpai-Ulytau area, we used computer modeling of geological structures and a forecast of possible associated minerals. The Karsakpai- Ulytau ore district is located in the ring geosuture zone of Kazakhstan, represented by deep faults and crushing zones, which served as channels for the penetration of mantle melts into the Earth's crust. The area has a complex geological history. The combination of igneous, metamorphogenic and sedimentogenic geological formations of the Proterozoic and Paleozoic led to the formation of various minerals in its bowels. In the Paleozoic, peculiar geotectonics and geological structures promising for minerals were formed under the influence of plume-tectonic geodynamics. Here the main ones are ophiolite complexes, volcanic rocks and sedimentary deposits. Ophiolite complexes in the geosuture zone are represented by peridotites, gabbro, and volcanic formations. They were formed as a result of tectonic activation of the geosuture zone. Depending on the oscillatory tectonic movements along the deep fault zones, intense subsidence occurred with the establishment of marine conditions and the formation of characteristic magmatogenic-sedimentogenic formations. Deposits of iron, copper, gold and nonferrous metallic minerals are associated with these formations.
