Organic farming has a future, but a significant obstacle to its application is the need for more organic fertilisers and the imbalance of macronutrients - nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. We set the following working hypothesis: whether the simultaneous application of natural zeolites and diatomaceous earth, in combination with a compost mixture, optimises the nutrient elements in two types of soils, taking into account their agrochemical and physicochemical parameters. The research includes experiments with Vertisols and Chernozems. Five different variants were tested with two replicates. After the investigation, the obtained data on the content of N, P, K, and Si in the soil showed a significant effect of the combined application of zeolite and diatomaceous earth combined with the compost mixture. The values of plant-available phosphorus in these variations are twice as high as in the control variations. In the containers with added zeolite, the amount of plant-available potassium significantly increased to 223.9 mg.100g-1 in the combined soil-zeolite-compost mixture variation. The data on the silicon content in the Chernozems in variant soil-diatomaceous earth, where the content was recorded to be half as much as in the control variation, was intriguing. No change in soil pH was observed for the entire experiment period.
