Abstract

Punching control is the obligatory part of calculation of shallow reinforced concrete footings exposed to considerable concentrated forces through the columns. Complexity of the stress state in the footing supported by deformable bedding requires a detailed theoretical analysis and experimental research, in order to make correct conclusions and confirm the introduced theoretical propositions. In the paper, the fundamental concept of preparation of experimental tests that were carried out on the test samples – foundation footing on the real soil under real load has been presented. The test specimens – models have been described, as well as the applied materials, preparation of the bedding, measuring equipment, and planned testing method.
