Abstract

Recent online translators for languages without a significant number of speakers cannot reach the quality of the translators for languages such as English, Spanish, and French, etc. The great number of users of these common languages means a higher possibility of correction of an inaccurate translation. For those languages with around ten, twenty million speakers, translators cannot gain such effectivity. All the documents produced in the EU must be translated into all the languages of the EU. Translators that have a database based on these documents propose a very accurate translation in a given context. However, these documents are limited to the topics discussed within the EU structures, like the European commission, the European parliament, etc., so a large part of these languages is missing from these documents. In our previous paper we discussed the topic of online bilingual dictionaries and proposed an ER diagram reflecting the various types of context of a given word to be translated from one language to another. In this paper we continue our research in this field and we discuss the syntactic context of a given word for its accurate translation. We extend our ER model with respect to syntactic context. This gives us a complex ER diagram for the contextual bilingual dictionary.
