DEFORMATION MONITORING OVER AN ABANDONED COAL MINE FIELD SEOCE (KAKANJ, BOSNIA AND HERCEGOVINA)
Abstract
In the parts of the mine where the exploitation is finished, noticed is surface deformation as a consequence of the surface subsidence. They may be extremely unfavorable because they cause activation of new geomorphogenetic processes. After the excavation was completed, in 2011 a geodetic survey was carried out above the excavation field OP Kp-I ("C" plate) of the pit Seoce, mining area "Haljini?i" in Kakanj coal mine. Subsidence caused by underground mining are almost always localized on the surface above the underground area with a zone of influence within the area of the mine. Analysis of the obtained results showed that the surface subsidence greatest rate in the area above the central part of the field was 3.23 m, and the minimum subsidence (0.04 m) was recorded at the peripheral parts. The field OP Kp-I is one of the planned three excavation fields in the central part of the pit Seoce. This field was located on the remaining reserves of the C plate roof tiles. The "A" plate was exploited in the earlier period. Surface deformation during the excavation of the "C" plate occurred immediately at the beginning of the coal exploitation. The geodetic situation was registered in 2009 and monitoring with intermittent interruptions continued until today. This paper presents the results of new geodetic measurements conducted in the first half of 2018 with the aim of subsidence monitoring.
