Abstract

From the analysis of documents of strategic planning for the development of the region, it follows that the Arkhangelsk region assigns tourism one of the priority areas of development. At present, the region is one of 8 key zones of economic development of the Russian Arctic, where along with industrial and transport nature management, recreational, in particular tourism, is also considered a priority. The article considers the main factors in the development of ecotourism in the Arkhangelsk region. The analysis and synthesis of statistical data, the disclosure of the dynamics of tourism in the Arkhangelsk region. It has been hypothesized that tourist flows in the Arkhangelsk region can be mathematically described by a modified Verhulst equation with variables coefficients of this equation. The region is a leading region for the development of tourism in the European North of Russia. For this, she has all the conditions: a variety of natural conditions, an abundance of rivers and lakes, which allows organizing numerous water trips. There are great opportunities for hunting, fishing, picking mushrooms, berries. There is a unique natural phenomenon - the northern lights, and, of course, the rich historical and cultural heritage of the indigenous inhabitants of the North - Pomors. However, the material base of the territory is not well developed. A lack of equipped places to accommodate tourists, poor quality of roads, lack of communication facilities are revealed. To attract the flow of tourists to the region, it is necessary to develop infrastructure, since the existing tourism material base is already outdated and needs to be restored and updated. It is also necessary to develop new tourist routes that will most fully use the existing tourist potential.
