Abstract

An evaluation of dinas quartzitesпїЅ deposits was carried out. Quartzites, quartzite sandstones and quartz sands with SiO2 content more than 96% are used are used for production of metallurgical furnaces. Objects of study were probable and proved reserves and resources of monomineralic quartzites of Vasylkivske and Tovkachivske deposits. Deposits are distinguished by mineralпїЅs quality, significant reserves and favourable conditions for open-pit mining. Reserves were calculated by the method of geological blocks and sections with clarification of their geological structure. Hydrogeological, mining, environmental conditions were defined during the feasibility study. Permissible ratio for parts of dinas reserves and crushed stoneпїЅs ones was determined. An increase in the proportion of dinas raw material is effective with the maximum extraction of minerals for crushed stone. Deposits have industrial significance and complex using of minerals.
