Abstract

The modern approach of the water removal works, in sustainable water management conditions, assumes the use of information technology. A series of new methods developed in the frame of computer aided design field have as results the increase of the quality in research and design activitie s by enlarging and studying throughly the scientific investigation. Th e specialized software programs allow to choose and check all the hypothesis assumed, to simulate th e processes and see in a dynamic way the answers to the changes of the initial parameters. Such an approuch has been adopted to study different solutions for the design of land reclamation works – drainage and subirriga tion, in Brates-Ghelinta area, Covasna County, Romania. In order to simulate the phenomena, which take place and to be able to analyze different scenarios in the feasibility study, specific soft ware has been used. This paper presents the performed analysis, for the above-mentioned area, by the aid of WaSim software, and the resulted conclusions.
