BIG DATA AND INTERNET OF THINGS TECHNOLOGIES WITHIN GEO-INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR BLACK CARBON CONTROL IN ARCTIC
Abstract
We consider the model of a prototype for a measuring platform for black carbon control in the Arctic within the framework of the geo-information management of difficult-to-access complex territorially distributed systems, taking into account the promising technologies of the Internet of Things and the associated Big Data challenge. Data can come from different sources. Then obtained data are combined into a single network based on Big Data technology. Geo-information support of decision-making in black carbon control system is an important component of costs for national economy. The aim of the research is to elaborate innovative technologies for the development of tools for geo-information support in the tasks of black carbon control in the context of climate change, using Internet of things, Big data and network technologies for collecting, archiving, processing and dissemination of information. We present results of successful research in the Institute of Information Systems and Geo-technologies at the Russian state hydrometeorological University in recent years. The results of the research have significant novelty and can be used in national control system for black carbon emission.
