Abstract

Natural sources of water, especially fresh water resources, are of significant importance for the population of each country. One of the major problems of the research of water state is the determination of influence of anthropogenic impact factors on water quality. In the given work there is executed statistical processing of the existing base of longterm historical data of the River Kura (Mtkvari) water quality parameters (some physical-chemical parameters and the main ions) for the period of 1980–1989, and there is carried out the estimation of their sizes at conditions of both natural and anthropogenic factors influence in some large settlements, located on the river Kura. It is offered the simple methodology of a quantitative estimation of various hydrochemical parameters of water quality, in particular, their equilibrium (background) values, influence of natural and anthropogenic factors on them, their extreme values.
