THE ORE DEPOSITS OF KOSOVA. THE PROSPECTS OF MINERALS EXPLORATIONS IN THE DETERMINATE OF DISTRACTIONS
Abstract
Kosova geology structurally is roughly divided into two equal-sized areas represented (in east from the Vardar Zone and in the west from the Drina-Ivanjica/Share-Korabi zone) of the one part and the other part in NNE-SSW direction between the Serbo- Macedonian province in Kosova and the geological Dinaric province of Albania. The fault zone of Mesozoic alteration which divides Dinaric and the Korabi of respective geotectonic units in two parts is called Shkoder-Peje lineament. Geotectonic units: Dinaric, Vardar Zone, Drino-Ivanjice Zone, Share-Korabi Zone, SMM Regional Metalogenic units: Deposits related to ophiolites (Cr, Fe-Ti - magmatic deposits, magmatic – hydrothermal deposits of Fe-Ni-Co sulphides, deposits of crust of Fe-Ni breaking) Bauxite deposits related to Dinaric Metalogenic province The Pb-Zn deposits accompanied by a range of other conductive elements (Bi, Cd, In, Sb, Au, Ag, and Cu) related to Neogene magmatic complex on Kopaonik Metalogenic Area. The deposits related to Neogene and plioquaternary deposits – volcanoes sedimentary deposits and lignite sedimentary deposits
