Abstract

Today, application of contemporary methods for geological data processing is unavoidable part of geological studies. Thereupon, the geological studies of the variety of different problems that they must be solved are done by a rule – definite method which complies with the designing stages. This paper presents a methodology developed to process geological information in this context. The aims of this methodology are comprehensive data description, effective data validation and easier model updates. Thus, special attention has been given to data structures and processing flows. Ni-silicate deposit of “Cikatov\"e e Vjet\"er” is one of the richest with Ni of this genetic type in Kosova. The relational type is used for building of database for the work of this paper, which it consists of the separate tables but which they have a structural connection between them. The three-dimensional model enable us the view of ore body both in block diagrams aspect and different cuts aspect. The three-dimensional model consists of two aspects: the numerical model in three dimensions of the studied element content, in our case the useful component – nickel; the stratigraphic three-dimensional modelling to see the composition of the ore and non-ore formations of deposits. These two models can then be combined in a single model called stratigraphic threedimensional model. The work is conceived in building of a stratigraphic three-dimensional model and then within the ore bearing formations to be determined their content by a block-modelling method. The idea of block-modelling consists in separation of three-dimensional discrete (specific) elements of ore body and then to do the evaluation of the content for each block.
