Abstract

This article is an analytical representation of the impact of two essential attributes which represent the accuracy of a point determined by a tacheometric measurement. The first value is the accuracy of the measurement station, which in polish conditions is accepted as error-free, just like the points of reference in geodetic networks are accepted as faultless, although they are not. Another factor is the accuracy of the measurement itself. The accuracy of such a designated point has a significant impact, among others, as an attribute in the process of numerical representation of the plot's boundary, as well as in the qualification of geodetic data quality of the adopted geodetic resource - dividing the terrain details by the accuracy of their measurement. The article presents equally the analysis of the impact of the accuracy of the position itself, the accuracy of the measurements themselves, and finally a combination of both factors. Another important issue in this area is to draw attention to the presentation of the results obtained. The polish law requires giving the error value of the point position, which is synonymous with the root of the sum of squares of X and Y coordinate errors, however, no attention is paid to the values of the coordinates themselves. Such reasoning simplifies the problem, but does not reflect the complexity of the problem and does not allow for one reduction. The article presents an assessment of the impact of selected factors on each variable and this is confronted with existing legal provisions and the measurement methods used.
