Abstract

The evaluation of the catalog parameters of the voltage, the current of a PV module is essential in the design and implementation of photovoltaic systems, the reference parameters differ depending on the temperature of the operating cells and the different levels of radiation. The analytical methodology was the basis for creating a characteristic model for modeling a cell or a photovoltaic module in Matlab/ Simulink, using cell data at STC, considering standard global radiation G = 1000 W/ m2, the operating temperature 25 ° C, A.M = 1.5 and taking into account the available data from the manufacturer. This method presents an application for the extraction of the electrical parameters, in which is necessary to fulfill five conditions, namely to solve five equations for the deduction of the five parameters, used in calculating the different photovoltaic modules available under different operating conditions, in the calculation of photovoltaic systems. Complex numerical methods require approximations, making it sometimes difficult to obtain values under any operating conditions, which are different from the values found in the reference data basis. The results obtained with the proposed model give a representation of the characteristic curves I-V, P-V, which can be compared with the characteristic curves under real and computed conditions for better accuracy with different cells being useful in situations where a good approximation is desired of the efficiency of a photovoltaic module used in BIPV systems.
