Abstract

Synthesis gas for an electrochemical generator was produced in a thermochemical reactor with autothermal air conversion of methane (natural gas). Based on thermal balances of the reactor, a battery of SOFCs and a boiler-utilizer (BU) for heating primary and secondary air, cathodic air and methane, the following parameters were calculated: temperature at the anode, EMF of the fuel cell, electrical efficiency (gross) of the electrochemical generator, portion of hydrogen oxidized at the SOFC?s anode and specific consumption of methane for the production of electric and heat power. Our calculation studies showed that the temperature of the products of hydrogen oxidation at the outlet from the anode of SOFC was 825 В°C, the electrical efficiency (gross) of ECG reached 48.8%, the EMF of the fuel cell Ee was equal to 0.969 V and the portion of hydrogen oxidized in the SOFC anode was 85%. The results obtained are in satisfactory agreement with the literature data. The specific consumption of reference fuel in the mini-CHP plant for the production of electric power was 0.137 kg r.f. per 1 kW?h and for the production of heat power was 38 kg r. f. /GJ.
