Abstract

A new joint configuration system has been developed to achieve a higher strength and ductility. The joint system consist of a reinforced concrete wall and a composite steel-concrete beam. The study aims for an experimental and a numerical part in a FEM program Abaqus 6.13. The program consist to reproduce the behavior of the joints and the materials variation. The purpose of the paper is to investigate the main parameters that affect the response on the contribution of the steel-concrete materials that influences the joint behavior. To understand the behavior of the joint configuration a number of two specimens were conducted to obtain a hogging moment and the parameter that influences the joint behavior. Analysis in experimental and numerical part are made on the joints to validate de specimen?s results.
