Abstract

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is an organized collection, comprising of hardware, software, data and staff for: acquisition, pre- analysis and selection, sorting, processing and storing, updating, global or/and thematic analysis, displaying domain specific spatial informati on. The informational system regarding the complex information activities for the development of management process represents the entirety of sources, procedures and means through which information is processed inside that activity. Th is system helps companies or different kind of organizations to obtain key information, and also helps nationa l and local authorities in adopting certain strategies which would support local/national development. The GIS approach is useful to the SCOPE, but it may become unnecessary if the overall approach has not a common denominator reporting georeferenced data, which are topographic plans. Starting from those mentioned above, this paper proposes the main directions of a concept of implementation of GIS technol ogy in mining through the management imformational systems .
