Abstract

The use of colored asphalt pavements plays an important role in answering the environment requirements, the operational aspects and visibility and road safety requirements. In this context, the paper deals with the possibilities of realizing colored asphalt mixtures corroborated with the ordinary tests to determine the physical and mechanical characteristics. Meanwhile, the article presents the advantages of using colored asphalt mixtures in different cases for improving road safety.
