CHALLENGES OF THE SLOVAK ENERGETIC POLICY IN THE VIEW OF RENEWABLE RESOURCES UTILIZATION
Abstract
After the entry to the European Union the energetic policy of the Slovak republic became an integral part of the European Union energetic policy as well as the element of the world market with the energetic resources. Slovak republic imports around 90 percent of its primary energetic resources that are at the same time poorly diversified because most of them are originated in the Russian Federation. In spite of the significant structural changes in the last two decades the Slovak economy still remains heavily dependent on the energetic resources. One of the most challenging tasks for the Slovak republic in the near future is to face the difficult energetic questions that are related to the optimization of the energetic mix of the country. Multinational corporations that allocate the capital in the Slovak republic represent the unique source of energy saving new technologies and manufacturing processes that are friendly to the environment of the Slovak republic. In the paper we analyze the challenges of the Slovak energetic policy in the view of the renewable resources utilization in connection with the diversification of energetic resources.
