SPECIALTIES OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
Abstract
The difference between an environmental project management and construction project management is in the difference between usual business operations and need of the environment sustainability. In civil engineering we need accept business operations as the core of the project management with focus on sustainable development. This article deals with the specifics in project management concept, which includes environmental components in the project structuring and providing. Nominated project manager or chief engineer of the project must have a free hand in relation to the creation of a working team, a strong negotiating position towards suppliers of good background in their own organization. Managing the environment as a project is in responding the question how this is done and what are interests of stakeholders. People working in the field enter a project with knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques that always appeal to a particular environmental element. Discussion and guidance on reconciliation of the operational and environmental aspects of the construction work is the main objective of this contribution.
