Abstract

The power and energy parameters of paddle drills used for drilling geotechnological wells in the extraction of uranium raw materials are considered. The distributions of the axial load, rotational force, and power for all rock-cutting elements of drills are obtained. A comparison of the cost of power for the destruction of the bottom of the well using a well-known and patented picobur equipped with a ring pilot showed that picobur of a new design during drilling reduces energy consumption by 14-17% due to a more rational distribution of energy supplied to the rock-cutting tool elements.
