TAXONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF MACROPHYTES OF SOUTH URALS LAKES
Abstract
This study has focused on macrophytes in eight South Urals lakes such as Bolshoye Miassovo, Maloye Miassovo, Bolshoy Ishkul, Bolshoy Tatkul, Argayash, Savelkul, Baraus and Ilmenskoye. Bolshoye Miassovo, Bolshoy Ishkul, Bolshoy Tatkul, Argayash, Savelkul, Baraus are on the territory of the Ilmen State Reserve and may be considered conventionally undisturbed. Maloye Miassovo and Ilmenskoye being outside the Reserve are under the human impact of an additional eutrophic factor as there are villages and resorts in the coastal area. The research is based upon the data we collected in 2005пїЅ2015 and also the data of other researchers. The work was carried out in July and August, the period of maximum water vegetation. In our research we determined species diversity, water flora taxonomic structure for each lake. We made flora lists for each profile and lake and the total list of differences and similarities of all the studied lakes in common. The final flora list includes about 100 plants. According to the research macrophyte species composition of the studied lakes is different (B. Miassovo is remarkable in species abundance (95 species). Many species absent in other lakes are found here, e.g. charophytes, water moss (Fontinalis), some Potamogeton species, several hygrophyte species growing on floating bogs. Macrophyte list of B. Miassovo has 95 % of species of the total list. That value is lower for the lakes M. Miassovo and Ilmenskoye (89 and 72 respectively). Argayash, Baraus and B. Ishkul are characterized by a much poorer species composition (65, 63 and 59 species respectively). Species composition of Savelkul is even lower (51 species). And the lowest value is for B. Tatkul (35 species). Water vegetation of Bolshoye Miassovo and Maloye Miassovo is characterized by a high flora and phytocoenotic diversity which is considered one of the most considerable among piedmont lakes of the east slope of the South Urals. To examine water vegetation coenoflora of the region and syntaxonomic composition of water communities of these waterbody types these lakes may be used as the representative local models.
